My name is Sylvana, I'm 21 and a junior in the dental hygiene program at Michigan. I love learning just as much as I love sharing what I know with others. I have found that tutoring is not only a stress reliever for myself, but has boundless rewards and it is beautiful to watch your work grow. I have strong communication skills and I love finding different ways to think about things. I am extremely organized and efficient with my time. I have experience leading study groups as well as participating in study groups, both have strengthened my ability to break down concepts and approach learning from several different avenues. I have a strong science and math background. I graduated from college-prep Bethesda Christian School (now Parkway) in 2005 where I developed a young love for Biology and Algebra. I continued to study Biology, Anatomy and Chemistry (Organic and Biological) along with Art, English and Political Science in college. Once I completed my pre-requisites, I was admitted to Michigan where I began my dental hygiene career. Since then, my studies have been pretty focused on teeth, I know more about the oral cavity than I ever knew there was. I love science and math, I enjoy figuring out how things work in the human body and I find problem solving soothing and gratifying. I have a strong science and math background.
